This is an effective way to remove coffee stains from your soba. It happens sometimes, as you are sitting enjoying a cup of coffee, and suddenly you accidentally spill some of the warm liquid on the sofa. The result is an ugly brown spot on the sofa. You shouldn’t worry much, with these steps; you can easily remove the coffee stain from your sofa. It is necessary to clean the stain as soon as possible in one of the following ways.

With the following ways, your sofa will look new again:

Step 1: Remove the covers: If possible, it is important to immediately remove the cover from the cushion that has the stain on it. This act will help prevent the stain from getting bitter on the sofa’s surface. Should this step not be possible on your sofa, you can skip it.

Step 2: Remove the moisture: The moment the spill happens, it is necessary to remove the moisture by dabbing a towel or tea towel on it. It is most appropriate to use a white cloth, as painted material can worsen the stain.

Step 3: Rinse the coffee stain: If possible, place the cushion cover or the complete cushion under a cold running tap for five minutes. You will observe the stain will become less visible. However, if you can’t remove the cushion cover, instead of rinsing, you can simply sprinkle baking soda and salt directly on the stain and let it stay there for 30 minutes.

Step 4: Cleaning: It is possible to make use of liquid detergent to remove the coffee stain from your sofa, but be sure it doesn’t contain bleach, as such will make the stain worse. Simply pour some detergent on the stain and let it absorb for ten minutes. This method is applicable if you can remove the cushion cover, because after ten minutes, you will have soaked the stain in warm water for thirty minutes. Note that you will have to leave it for a while to absorb when using baking soda.

Step 5: Rinse again: After soaking, the coffee stain must be rinsed again. You shouldn’t rub the stain, as it may get bigger or may lead to discoloration. If you have sprinkled baking soda on the stain, now is the time to remove it with a vacuum cleaner.

Step 6: Stain remover: In case the above methods haven’t worked, then it is advisable to use a stain remover. Allow time for the detergent to absorb and then wash the cushion cover or the entire cushion in your washing machine.
